Speed pads = Goldilocks: foam + plastic protection, low profile. $60-150.
Full pads for defense: hard shells, extended caps, rib coverage. $80-200.
Arm Guards
Full guards: Wrist to above elbow. Required most youth leagues. Max protection. Best for defense/youth.
Elbow pads: Elbow only. Better feel, lighter. For experienced attackmen.
Fit: 2" above wrist to 3" above elbow. No gap with gloves.
Gloves

Break-in: 5-10 sessions. Wall ball, squeeze lacrosse ball. Never soak.

Defense: Full everything — pads, guards, heavy gloves.

Sizing
Shoulders: Chest measurement. Caps cover joint. Sternum flat.
Arms: Wrist to 3" above elbow. No gap with gloves.
Gloves: Palm to fingertip. Snug, full curl, no bunching.
