Net Standards
A regulation pickleball net is 22 feet wide, 36 inches high at the sidelines, and 34 inches at the center. USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) standards apply in all sanctioned play. Most portable nets advertised as "regulation" meet these dimensions — but verify before tournament play.
Portable vs Permanent
Portable nets ($90-250): Set up in 5-10 minutes, fold into carry bag for transport. Best for driveways, parks, gyms without dedicated courts. Permanent nets ($500-2,000+): Steel or aluminum posts cemented into ground. Required for dedicated outdoor courts. Better stability, no setup time.
